Radix Management Consulting at the COMESA Competition Commission Strategic Planning Sessions

From 21–26 July 2025, Radix Management Consulting (U) Ltd was privileged to participate in the COMESA Competition Commission’s strategic planning sessions held at Singelele Resort Beach, Lilongwe, Malawi. Our Lead Consultant, Professor Benon Basheka, led a comprehensive presentation that evaluated the performance and outcomes of the Commission’s 2021–2025 Strategic Plan.

Professor Basheka’s presentation offered a clear appraisal of the plan’s achievements, identified implementation gaps, and set out concrete recommendations to strengthen institutional capacity and enforcement mechanisms. His evidence-based observations stimulated substantive discussions among Commissioners, senior management, and technical teams on how to refine priorities, improve stakeholder engagement, and enhance measurable outcomes for the next strategic cycle.

The week-long engagement also supported the drafting of the new 2026–2030 Strategic Plan — a forward-looking blueprint that sets ambitious but achievable goals for advancing competition policy, protecting consumers, and fostering a competitive business environment across the COMESA region. Radix Management Consulting contributed practical operational measures, monitoring & evaluation approaches, and capacity-building roadmaps designed to ensure the plan’s effective execution.
