Strategic overview
The objective of this assignment is to finalize the ACERWC Strategic Plan 2026–2028 by undertaking a comprehensive and technically robust review of the existing draft. This involves refining and consolidating the document to ensure clarity, coherence, and a strong results-orientation that reflects the Committee’s mandate and strategic priorities. The consultant will ensure that the final plan aligns with the evaluation findings of the Strategic Plan 2021–2025, incorporating lessons learned, identified challenges, and priority areas requiring strategic repositioning. Facilitation includes a two-day validation consultation in South Africa to gather feedback, secure collective ownership, and ensure responsiveness to stakeholders’ perspectives.
Key objectives
Review and technically refine the existing draft Strategic Plan 2026–2028.
Ensure alignment with evaluation findings of the Strategic Plan 2021–2025 and relevant AU policy frameworks.
Facilitate a two-day validation consultation with ACERWC Committee Members and Secretariat staff in South Africa.
Incorporate validation outcomes to produce a finalized, high-quality Strategic Plan ready for adoption at the 47th Ordinary Session.
Provide a clear roadmap for the ACERWC’s work over the 2026–2028 period.
