Today, March 30, 2026, marks the official commencement of a landmark strategic engagement between Radix Management Consulting (U) Ltd and the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC). The assignment began with a high-level entry meeting, setting the stage for a technical process that will shape the continental roadmap for child rights and welfare over the 2026–2028 period.

As a premier advisory firm, Radix has been tasked with the technical refinement of the existing draft Strategic Plan. This involves a rigorous assessment of the previous 2021–2025 strategic cycle to ensure that lessons learned, challenges identified, and emerging priority areas are deeply integrated into the new framework.

Scope and Strategic Objectives

The assignment is designed to deliver a results-oriented and technically robust document that reflects the ACERWC’s mandate. Key components of the engagement include:

  • A comprehensive review of the 2026–2028 draft plan for clarity, coherence, and alignment.
  • Integrating findings from the Strategic Plan 2021–2025 evaluation.
  • Ensuring policy alignment with African Union frameworks, including Agenda 2063.
  • Facilitating a high-stakes, two-day validation consultation in South Africa.
“The welfare of the African child is the foundation of the continent’s future. Our role is to ensure that the ACERWC has a technically sound, actionable, and visionary roadmap to protect and promote those rights across all member states.” — Prof. Benon C. Basheka

Looking Ahead: The Road to the 47th Ordinary Session

The technical team at Radix will spend the coming weeks refining the strategy and preparing for a critical validation session with ACERWC Committee Members and the Secretariat in South Africa. The ultimate goal is to produce a high-quality Strategic Plan ready for consideration and adoption at the Committee’s 47th Ordinary Session.

This assignment further solidifies Radix Management Consulting’s position as a preferred partner for African Union organs and regional bodies seeking evidence-based governance and strategic leadership solutions.
